The Director, Supply Chain is the key representative on the senior management team for MRP and inventory management, equipment purchasing and MRO services procurement and management of raw materials, shipping services, and logistics for functional areas of the facility
What You Will Do:
- Serving as a key member of the senior management team, participating in strategic decisions to shape the future of our facility in Venlo.
- Annual budgeting and weekly/quarterly reporting on financial and operational KPI's
- Managing the procurement of raw materials, logistics services, and facility requirements to ensure seamless operations.
- Establishing and leading a high-performing team to oversee the tactical and strategic procurement of materials, as well as managing inventory flow and customer deliveries.
- Driving a culture of continuous improvement in internal logistics operations, ensuring efficiency and quality.
- Collaborating with our Global Procurement and Customer Care team to implement cost-competitive purchasing strategies and define shipping services strategies for different countries.
- Developing and ensuring compatibility of supply chain policies and procedures across the corporation.
- Overseeing master file updates and approvals in the SAP ERP system.
- Managing daily material spend and ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
- Developing material and service specifications, while administering contract management for the facility.

- A strong educational background: A business degree specializing in purchasing and logistics management, with certifications in purchasing, logistics, or inventory management (CPP, PLog, or CPIM).
- Extensive experience: 10 to 15 years of experience in operations, purchasing, and logistics within a large corporate environment, preferably with multi-country, multi-currency, and multi-business unit strategies.
- Leadership and people management skills: Proven ability to manage and interact with a diverse range of experience levels, skill sets, and communication methods.
- Analytical expertise: Extensive knowledge in business analysis, costing, and the use of business analysis tools (e.g., Excel, query tools).
- Procurement and Logistics Knowledge: Deep understanding of local/global procurement options, logistics services, shipment packaging, and freight cost impacts.
- Understanding of / affinity with trade compliance (and tax) regulations.
- Industry connections: Having strong contacts and knowledge in raw materials and the printing industry will be considered a significant asset.
