The Client Relationship Manager will also support the sales process and develop strong relationships with new and existing clients to identify expansion opportunities.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and analytical, enjoy structuring new processes and organizing various resources around these, as well as engaging externally with clients and key partners. In this role, you will be part of the Business Development Team and work closely with the Chief Business Development Officer, other business development representatives, as well as other teams such as Marketing & Communications, Product, and Technology.
Requirements
We work with large global financial institutions, governments, consultancies, and non-profit organizations to help catalyse action on climate change. In your role, you will define and own processes concerning management and support relationships with existing clients and partners, which includes responsibilities in the following areas:
Account Management- Build and manage long-term relationships with clients, understand their use cases and challenges, and identify key internal sponsors. Continuously improve the overall client experience, and maximize client retention and business growth, via proactive relationship-focused engagement.
- Define and continuously improve best-in-class account management strategies, including implementation of processes and tools, together with the other members of the Business Development and Product teams.
- Provide client feedback to the Product team for the continuous improvement of existing products and the development of the roadmap.
- Manage the overall process of client support, coordinating the allocation and execution of research work by the various team members, and ensuring high quality of responses sent to clients.
- Manage the product delivery to clients, in coordination with the Product team.
- Continuously monitor the efficiency of existing processes, via the implementation of KPIs; suggest and implement regular improvements to client delivery & support activities, as well as new ways to enhance these processes.
- Support overall business development activities and help improve related processes.
- Conduct product demonstrations to new and existing clients; drive and/or support follow-up activities.
- Identify new business opportunities with existing clients and pursue these opportunities to completion, in collaboration with the other members of the commercial team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, engineering, economics, sustainable finance). Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum 6 to 8 years of experience working in a client-facing role, for example in a consultant, sales, or client relationship position. Previous experience in the areas of climate, sustainability, and/or the financial industry is strongly preferred.
- Experience in building relationship with clients and conduct presentations. Customer-first mindset with integrity, reliability, and maturity.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to understand complex and technical concepts, including data-related methodologies and to perform technical research on large datasets when required.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to independently manage and improve end-to-end processes.
- Affinity with start-up and/or scale-up environments.
- Fluency in English is mandatory. Other European languages will be considered a strong plus (French, Spanish, German, etc.).
- Legal authorization to work in the Netherlands or in any other country as specified is required.
- This position will be preferably based in Amsterdam or Berlin. Paris or London is also possible for the right candidate.
