At Value Maritime, we have short communication lines, and this role reports to our Head of Projects. You’ll be a great addition to our current team, working together (and between, like a spider in the web) our Junior Procurement Manager, Warehouse support and Lead Engineer.

Role Overview: We are seeking a Technical Work Preparation Coordinator with the potential to excel in managing project components and ensuring smooth operations. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in coordinating and preparing for projects, maintaining accuracy, and ensuring timely delivery within our organization.

Tasks
  • Coordinate within projects and production for entire Value Group.
  • Maintain an overview of project needs, reduce costs by strategic planning, and ensure everything is ready for each individual project in advance.
  • Summarize all items that need to be ordered per project, based on technical drawings.
  • Liaise with our Jr. Procurement Manager, Provide insights into material choices and technical feasibility.
  • Track what needs to be ordered, review drawings, and provide comments where necessary.
  • Report discrepancies to the Projects team and our Jr. Procurement Manager.
  • Advise on material choices and help to further Technical knowledge of team members
  • Confirm the arrival and correctness of items.
  • Help develop additions for the ERP system to facilitate work preparation.
  • Perform administrative tasks, review drawings, coordinate, and follow up.
  • Prepare packages with the warehouse for transport, ensuring everything is checked.
  • Coordinate project components daily.
  • Play a supportive and facilitative role in projects/production/warehouse, jumping like a spider in the web to where you are needed.
  • Contribute to improving warehouse processes.
  • Ensuring a full successful preparation per project.
  • Potentially facilitate the warehouse needs of our sister company Value Carbon.
Requirements
  • Technical education is a plus, but technical experience is crucial.
  • Knowledge of the maritime industry is preferred.
  • Proactive and versatile, able to step in where needed.
  • Capable of operating independently
  • Proven experience in project coordination or work preparation.
  • Strong understanding of work preparation and technical knowledge of materials and parts
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to proactively speak up when discrepancies are found.
  • Effective Problem-solving & communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with project regulations and compliance standards.
