Functie
As the Manager Finance, you will be responsible for managing the financial reporting and consolidation process, ensuring accurate and timely month-end closings. You'll lead the Financial Accounting team, fostering collaboration and effective leadership.In addition, you will create a stronger (business) control focus, driving analysis, budget processes, and reporting improvements to support decision-making. You'll work on the implementation of ERP systems and enhance reporting tools to elevate financial insights.
A key aspect of your role will involve aligning financial management with business strategy in an international and professional services environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage month-end reporting processes, including balance sheet control and reconciliation.
- Oversee group consolidations and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
- Lead the transition towards a stronger business control focus within the finance team, ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Create and Drive the planning and control (P&C) cycle, ensuring robust budget and forecasting processes.
- Lead or support ERP implementations and reporting improvements to optimize operations.
- Ensure smooth data flow between the General Ledger and reporting tools, maintaining data integrity.
- Collaborate with external accountants to meet tax compliance and local financial reporting requirements.
- Manage intercompany trading, eliminations, and foreign exchange (FX) reconciliations.
- Perform business analysis (in all the organizational and strategic dimensions).
- Experience: 3-5 years of (operational) finance experience, with a strong understanding of month-end reporting processes, financial and business control.
- ERP Knowledge: Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as Netsuite or Microsoft Dynamics is highly preferred.
- Business Acumen: Proven expertise in analyzing P&L, budgeting, and aligning financial processes with organizational strategies.
- Group Consolidations: Proven expertise in group consolidations, financial reporting tools (preferably beyond Excel), and intercompany reconciliations.
- Technical Accounting Skills: Familiar with cost center accounting, management accounting, and business control. Proficient in balance sheet control, reconciliation processes, and preparing month-end closing files for audits.
- International Finance: Ability to work effectively with global teams in a multicultural environment.
- M&A Knowledge: Familiarity with mergers and acquisitions and their financial implications is a plus.
- Collaboration: Skilled in working with external accountants for tax compliance and local financial reporting.
- Language Skills: Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch is not required but advantageous).
- Industry Experience: Previous experience in professional or business services (e.g., consultancy, IT-services) is a plus.
- Competitive annual salary: €80.000 - €110.000 including an 8% holiday allowance.
