YOUR ROLE
As a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer at Capgemini Engineering, you will lead high-precision mechanical projects from concept to final product delivery. You will be responsible for ensuring that designs meet specifications related to safety, reliability, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness. Your role includes:
- Designing and validating systems for temperature, flow, and contamination control, such as cabinets, manifolds, and fluid lines.
- Managing and reviewing the output of a team of 3–8 mechanical engineers, including technical documentation, 3D models, and bills of materials.
- Coordinating internal and external stakeholders and proactively improving designs.
- Leading engineering activities aligned with the V-model, maintaining quality across development phases.
YOUR PROFILE
You are an experienced technical leader with a deep understanding of mechanical engineering in high-tech environments. You bring:
- A master’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering (or equivalent).
- 7+ years of experience in mechanical design, including leading teams of up to 10 engineers.
- Strong skills in 3D CAD (preferably Siemens NX) and experience with Teamcenter PLM.
- Knowledge of GD&T, FMEA, and experience in explaining technical decisions to stakeholders.
- NATO or EU nationality, due to screening requirements.
- Lead innovative projects in life-changing industries, using cutting-edge technology.
