The Security Centre Operational Analyst is responsible for executing core functions of the Regional Security Center (RSC), focusing on the safety of personnel, facilities, assets, reputation and marketplace operations across the EMEA region.This role involves close collaboration with various teams to analyze risks, monitor security incidents and systems, and provide timely response and insights to internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking and operational aptitude, attention to detail, analytical skills, and excellent communication skills, ensuring effective security response, investigations, and crisis management in a 24/7 operational environment.
Full-time, 100% office-based in Amsterdam, shift patterns, with 24/7/365 operational coverage, including nights and weekends. Shifts will be covered in a varied pattern across a team of Operational Analysts.
The Operational Analyst will work within a team of fellow Operational Analysts, Senior Operational Analysts, and collaborate with client Leads.
🞂 Monitor open source, proprietary, and vendor-provided information sources for incidents or impacts to Uber across multiple in-house and vendor tools simultaneously.
🞂 Monitor and respond to security incident inbounds and requests from the client’s staff via Slack, email, or phone across the EMEA region, and manage the initial triage and response.
🞂 Monitor alarm and CCTV platforms, and initiating immediate responses to alarm activations and conducting CCTV reviews in support of asset protection. Create tickets for technical security incidents, badging assistance, and access control.
🞂 Conduct real-time open-source information monitoring during breaking and disruptive events impacting the safety and security of the client’s staff, sites, assets, and operations. Also conduct proactive open-source monitoring for threats that could trigger a change in the security environment.
🞂 Conduct real-time data analysis during breaking/dynamic events that will inform security responses.
🞂 Conduct basic level threat assessments against the clients staff, sites, and operations and support with vetting for event security.
🞂 Log security incidents in the client’s specialised incident management database, and ensure the integrity of inputs.
🞂 Draft real-time and proactive alerts and assessments to security and business stakeholders.
🞂 Conduct mass notifications for security related incidents involving Uber people or places.

Requirements
Essential
🞂 Excellent writing and verbal skills in English and any other EMEA language.
🞂 Proven experience working in a fast-paced, reactive operations centre environment and/or corporate environment with a rotational shift schedule, and especially in relation to ensuring information continuity between shifts and colleagues.
🞂 Candidates with experience in security infrastructure technologies like CCTV, access control systems, alarm response, and OSINT are preferred, in addition to an understanding of geopolitics in the EMEA region.
🞂 Excellent communication skills, and adapting communication styles and output across various levels of stakeholders across the business - from general staff members, to security officers, regional security managers, and senior business stakeholders.
🞂 1 – 3 years’ experience in a security-related role
🞂 Comfortable working with different technology platforms/applications simultaneously, especially Genetec, Dataminr, Samdesk, and Tableau.
🞂 Experience with managing multiple simultaneous tasks and prioritising accordingly.
🞂 Ability to prepare reports and use logic and reasoning to solve problems.
🞂 Comfortable working in different shifts with full-time office attendance.
Qualifications
🞂 Relevant associated experience in Security Centre environments and/or Bachelors or Masters degree with relevance for (international) security, crisis management or investigations.
