The DLL Global Privacy Office ensures that there are policies, standards, procedure, and training and awareness related to privacy principles that ensure these values within DLL.

The Global Privacy Office also monitors the implementation of privacy principles to make certain these values are adequately addressed in our operational business processes and privacy risks. The Global Privacy Office provides privacy advice to pro-active and when needed on how to treat risks in alignment with the regional Privacy Coordinators.

As a Data Privacy Officer, you will be a subject matter expert and support delivery on key components of the work of the DLL Global Privacy Office.

Day to day:

  • Support to improve the maturity towards a robust Data Privacy risk management program for DLL – identifying risks, working with the business to devise mitigations and monitoring their effectiveness.
  • Communicate about data privacy and promote the Global Privacy Office’s messaging, including creating educational material, raising awareness through various initiatives and providing training (and training materials) for use across the company’s product developers, IT and commercial colleagues.
  • Manage Global Privacy Office tasks including operating the privacy risk assessment methodology; assign ownership of obligations; evaluating requirements and providing practical and business operation focused advisory to the business; and action plan(s) to address gaps.
  • Support the implementation of the Global Privacy policies and procedures to enable the effective identification and management of privacy risks.
  • Provide assistance to the Senior Data Privacy Officers in regard to any regulatory events related to Data Privacy and any responses to regulatory guidance.
  • Participate in our communication and reporting to management and other key stakeholders. Support in further enhancement of the privacy management information and reporting to enable effective oversight of the privacy and data protection control framework.
  • Monitor changes in laws, rules and regulations relating to Data Privacy risk management and work with legal to interpret such changes.
  • Participate in relevant regulatory examinations and internal audits including addressing all findings and recommendations in a timely manner.
  • Build relationships, have reasonable dialogues with stakeholders and improve the Global Privacy Office connection with the operational business. Cooperate smoothly with stakeholders including colleagues within the compliance team. Understand the DLL business and its IT landscape to be able to recognize applicable requirements in your privacy advice.
  • Provide balanced privacy advice to business.

  • Support to mature to improve the ways of working in our privacy management platform (One Trust).

Essentials:

  • A bachelor's degree
  • Data Protection certification (or equivalent) or extra years of experience
  • At least 5-7 years working experience
  • At least 3 years in privacy and data protection
  • Extensive knowledge of privacy regulations and regulatory expectations
  • Project management experience in a privacy and data protection environment
  • Technical/IT affinity
  • Experience in multi-national company
  • Passionate about privacy
  • Team player

  • Being able to successfully make, or understand the required translation from Privacy Policy to operational business process requirements via the relevant knowledge and experience gained during your career
