In a nutshell
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at D2X, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure that supports our low-latency trading platform.This includes managing the scalability, reliability, and security of the trading platform while optimizing performance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the trading platform meets business and regulatory requirements.
What you'll do- Design, implement, and maintain the infrastructure for our platform services;
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure the platform meets their needs for scalability, reliability, and performance;
- Identify and implement best practices for security and data management;
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, including performance bottlenecks and system outages;
- Monitor and optimize the platform's performance, including database performance and resource utilization;
- Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting tools to ensure rich observability with respect to availability and reliability;
- Participate in on-call rotations for infrastructure support.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field;
- Proven experience as a Site Reliability, Infrastructure or Linux Engineer, with at least 6 years of experience in designing, building, and maintaining large-scale infrastructure;
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes;
- Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, or GCP;
- Experience with scripting and automation using tools such as Bash, PowerShell or Python;
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, load balancing, and network security;
- Strong understanding of databases and streaming systems such as PostgreSQL and Kafka;
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Gitlab or Github Actions;
- Experience developing and managing monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, AWS Cloud Watch, OpenSearch;
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and work independently;
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation;
- Experience with (and passion) for systems programming language such as C, C++, Rust or Java;
- Experience with DevOps and SRE practices and Agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
