About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and passionate Firmware Engineer to join their team in The Hague. Ideal candidates will have 4-5 years of experience in firmware development, a keen interest in wireless technology, and a collaborative mindset.
In this role, you will be instrumental in developing, testing, and refining the software and hardware that power the company’s products. You’ll work as part of a five-member team of software and hardware engineers, driving collaboration and delivering key features.

This is a full-time hybrid position, requiring at least three days per week on-site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop firmware for wireless technology products.
  • Integrate machine learning technologies with sensors to enhance product functionality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including cloud, AI, and data processing experts, to test and refine software solutions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in product performance, production processes, and reliability.
  • Stay current with industry trends and demonstrate enthusiasm for learning new technologies.
  • 4-5 years of experience in firmware development.
  • Based in the Netherlands, or able to regularly commute to the office from Spain.
  • Strong foundation in wireless technology and software engineering.
  • Experience developing applications for embedded platforms using Bluetooth, Lo Ra, UWB, BLE, and Wi-Fi.
  • Proficiency with communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, and BLE.
  • Familiarity with sensors and their integration into embedded systems.
  • Knowledge of low-power, battery-operated devices, microcontrollers, and power management techniques.
  • Basic skills in Python or shell scripting for automated testing and debugging.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative attitude, with a passion for working closely with a small team and sharing knowledge.
  • Enthusiasm for technology and a drive to explore new innovations.
