Founded in 2011, the International NGO Safety Organisation (INSO) is an international non-governmental organisation that supports humanitarian aid workers by establishing safety coordination platforms in insecure contexts. INSO provides registered NGOs with a range of free services, including real-time incident tracking, analytical reports, safety-related data and mapping, crisis management support, staff orientations and training.

Job Summary
As the Recruiter, you will play a key role in providing an end-to-end high-quality recruitment service to hiring managers at Headquarters and INSO’s Country Offices to attract and retain top talent that supports INSO’s global mission. Working closely with the HR Manager, you will work with hiring managers to open new vacancies, conduct competency-based interviews and manage related administrative recruitment paperwork while providing high-quality candidate and hiring manager experience.
You will support the rollout of the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Talent acquisition
- Correspond with a diverse pool of candidates utilizing a variety of methods including job boards, databases, social media, job fairs, etc.
- Conduct initial prescreening calls to assess candidates’ profiles.
- Maintain a standardized competency-based prescreening system.
- Identify sources to disseminate vacancy announcements to target specific talents and network with recruitment agencies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates throughout the recruitment process to provide a positive candidate experience.
- Support the development and implementation of a new ATS.
- Manage vacancy announcements in the ATS.
- Manage the onboarding of all new hires in the HR Information System (HRIS).
- Ensure recruitment forms are completed accurately and validated by HR Director as required.
- Maintain the recruitment tracker (Excel until ATS functioning).
- Manage and develop assessment tools and bank of competency-based interview questions.
- Advertise the vacancies on our website, relevant job boards, Linked In, etc, and manage the annual contracts/subscriptions to these.
- Facilitate and coordinate an efficient and effective onboarding process for the selected candidate and ensure all technical and organizational briefing has been received.
- Assist the hiring manager and/ or technical referent in the short-listing process.
- Conduct interviews and assess talent’s knowledge, skills, and experience to best suit open positions.
- Ensure INSO’s competencies framework and PSEAH elements are reflected in assessment tools.
- Provide recruitment reports to hiring managers or Country Offices when needed.
- Conduct a thorough reference check for successful candidates or talent roster and assess if vetting or medical checks need to apply.
- Provide regular updates to HR Manager on recruitment activities, challenges and completion.
- Maintain knowledge of and provide contractual information and context to hiring managers and candidates in collaboration with the HR team.
- Schedule tests and interviews where required.
- Organize awareness sessions and induction sessions with hiring managers.
- Contribute to updates needed for newsletter or INSO website.
- Support the development and execution of employer branding initiatives to position INSO as an employer of choice in the NGO sector.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, new recruitment tools and trends.
- Represent INSO at career fairs and other external recruitment related events.
Requirements
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience with HR recruitment, talent acquisition, ideally in the non-profit sector.
- Fluency in English.
- Good knowledge of relevant HR recruitment procedures and processes.
- Significant experience with ATS, HRIS and other recruitment tools.
- Intermediate level skills in Word for Windows, Excel Spreadsheets, Databases and HR systems.
- Right to work in the Netherlands.
- French, Spanish or Arabic fluency.
- Experience in HRIS.
- Experience working for an NGO or international organization.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to deal tactfully with stakeholders at all levels.

Fixed-term (renewable) full-time contract based in The Hague, Netherlands. The full-time package based on 40 hours a week is €4800 gross per month, 8% vacation pay, 2.5 days annual leave per month. We offer basic Premium ONVZ insurance.
