The internship
Come join the Social Sustainability team and contribute to our efforts in creating a positive impact.
Main responsibilities & projects- Assist in the development and implementation of the social sustainability value chain due diligence strategy, ensuring alignment with company objectives and values.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support due diligence programs and initiatives.
- Gather insights to further inform decision making, including benchmarking and legal trend monitoring.
- Help create communications and messaging on social sustainability topics.

The department
As an intern you'll be an integral part of the Global Social Sustainability team, which ensures that how HEINEKEN does business in its own operations and across its value chain respects people’s dignity and human rights.
The terms of employment- Your starting date is 1 February 2025
- The internship is fulltime (in consultation also 4 days a week possible)
- The duration of the internship is 6 months (in consultation with your internship supervisor)
- It is a practice-oriented internship
- You will be based in Amsterdam
- During your internship, you have the flexibility to work in a hybrid way of working
- You will receive an internship fee of €650 gross per month based on 40 hours per week (when you start at the 1st of January 2025)
- You will enjoy 2 vacation days per month (based on fulltime)
- If you do not have a student OV product, your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed
The unique you!
We believe that everyone has unique talents and are therefore looking for you!- Currently pursuing a degree in sustainability, social studies, human rights or any related field
- Ability to prioritize and to work in a structured way on projects and individually
- Exceptional team player and eager to learn
- Proficiency in English: written, spoken and interpersonal
- You are enrolled at an educational institution.
- In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution, from which we receive proof of enrollment for the current academic year from you.
- In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.
- Living in the Netherlands during internship (HEINEKEN does not facilitate housing).
