The Merit Circle core team is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer to join our development team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a fast-paced company, working with the most innovative teams in the gaming industry, pushing the boundaries of what's possible.

We are in search of candidates with a passion for gaming and a desire to deliver high-quality software experiences.

As a key member of our Development team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and robustness of our gaming platform and related applications. You will work on diverse projects involving Beam Subnet, Sphere, Beam SDK, and NFT integrations, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

For this role, we require candidates with at least 2 years of experience in QA Automation, a strong understanding of testing methodologies, and experience with complex software systems.

As a QA Automation Engineer, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Developing and maintaining automated test suites (Playwright, Github actions) for our gaming platform and related applications.
  • Collaborating with developers to identify and resolve bugs and vulnerabilities.
  • Monitoring APM and Bug Tracking to identify possible bugs.
  • Performing manual testing where necessary to ensure comprehensive coverage.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in QA automation.
  • Troubleshoot and debug problems throughout our application landscape.
  • Ensure software quality through code reviews, testing, and adherence to standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with other departments to communicate technical decisions and requirements.
  • Hands on mentality, supporting the engineering efforts in any way needed and possible.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of professional experience in QA.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies in the blockchain space, while proactively seeking opportunities to expand and deepen your expertise.
  • Advanced knowledge of Git, GitHub (Actions), TypeScript, PlayWright, Postman
  • Experience collaborating within an engineering team and reviewing code
  • Have a full day overlap with CET time zone

Nice to have:

  • Understanding of blockchain concepts and a strong interest in Web3 technology
  • Familiarity with docker
