The role as Head of Logistics is for one of our clients in the retail industry in Eindhoven.

Functie

In this role as Head of Logistics a.i. you will be focusing on:

• Oversee and support Warehouse Managers across multiple sites, ensuring operational efficiency and high performance.
• Lead and develop teams, managing a peak season workforce of approximately 200 FTEs.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration across all logistics functions.
• Balance daily logistics operations with long-term transformation projects, ensuring seamless execution.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align logistics and supply chain strategies with business objectives.
• Develop and implement workforce planning strategies to manage seasonal fluctuations effectively.
• Lead centralization efforts for key functions, including finance, HR, and transport, while ensuring smooth transitions.
• Engage with key stakeholders to gain alignment and manage resistance to change.
• Develop and maintain operational reports to track KPIs, productivity improvements, and cost management.
• Use data-driven insights to support decision-making and drive strategic improvements.
• Oversee critical logistics projects, including: Peak season delivery execution, Productivity enhancement initiatives, Workforce planning and optimization.

Profiel

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse management in a multi-site environment.
• Proven ability to lead teams, optimize operations, and manage large-scale logistics projects.
• Strong background in cost reduction, process improvement, and change management.
• Experience in B2B logistics and handling complex multi-site distribution networks.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Strategic and process-oriented mindset with a hands-on approach.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills for performance tracking and decision-making.

• Start date: ASAP
• Assignment for 6 months
• Full time contract (40h per week)
• On site
