[ref. g01387704] Production Manager - Turbo Jet Engines

The Production Manager will collaborate closely with engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to support developing and producing world-class propulsion systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production Planning & Coordination: Develop, implement, and manage production schedules to ensure efficient and timely delivery of turbo jet engines.
• Process Optimization: Continuously assess and improve assembly processes, identifying opportunities to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and increase overall efficiency.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of engine assembly technicians, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and company policies.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that all turbo jet components meet Destinus' rigorous quality standards. Collaborate with the quality assurance team to identify issues and implement corrective actions.
• Inventory Management: Oversee the management of materials and resources required for turbo jet engine assembly, ensuring that stock levels are sufficient and cost-effective.
• Equipment Maintenance: Monitor the maintenance and calibration of production equipment to ensure reliability, minimizing downtime.
• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain clear and accurate production records, reports, and logs in line with regulatory requirements and company standards.
• Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with engineering, R&D, and supply chain teams to align production goals with design and delivery schedules.
• Compliance: Ensure all production activities comply with relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a production or manufacturing role, with at least 2 years in a leadership position in the aerospace or turbine manufacturing industry.
• Strong understanding of turbine production processes and related technologies.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen).
• Hands-on experience with production scheduling, resource allocation, and workforce management.

Skills:

• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in using production management software and ERP systems.
• Knowledge of quality control processes, ISO standards, and safety regulations in aerospace manufacturing.
