Do you think that sound data management will make the difference between a good and a great company?As a Global Data Governance Consultant, you will support, guide, and inspire DLL’s Data Governance community to treat our data as a valuable asset. You will support the Product Owners or become one yourself of Data Governance solutions (e.g. Data Quality, Glossary, Data Catalog, Reference Data) to ensure proper embedding in the organization.
This comes along with creating and maintaining a policy & procedures framework. You will be closely working with a.o. the teams that are responsible for DLL’s Enterprise Data Warehouse, Global Reporting, and the (Curated) Data Lake.
This role resides within the Global Data Governance team, which oversees the required data management activities at the Data Producers (mainly in our countries) and at Data Consumers (mainly at corporate center).Would you like to inspire a diverse and international network and support them to reach the next level in data management? Day to day:
- Make the difference by understanding and promoting the value of data and initiating and supporting the implementation of data management across DLL.
- Further develop a data driven mindset in the organization, a.o. through our Data Ambassadors network and by providing learning experiences.
- Partner with stakeholders to get a deep understanding of their data governance challenges.
- Create, maintain, and embed Global Data Governance visions and a policy framework, and monitor adherence to it throughout the organization.
- Report on Data Governance KPIs.
- Support stakeholders with implementing and using the respective data management tooling.
- Support our members with practical data governance activities, a.o. regarding defining our data, monitoring data quality, maintaining and using reference data.
- Cooperate with countries and IT scrum team(s) to embed data management tools in the organization.
- Two working days per year volunteering for a local charity.

Essentials:
- Enthusiastic and passionate about data management.
- Easily switch between focused and helicopter view.
- Change management and innovation skills: you can implement changes to marry up tooling, processes, and policies while having good eye for the people side of the change.
- Strong communication skills: you are “multi-lingual” and can easily switch between the “data language”, “IT language”, “commercial language”, etc.
- Team player by sharing your knowledge broadly.
- Relevant experience with one or more data governance tools (for Reference Data, Data Catalog, Glossary, Data Quality, Data Lineage, Master Data Management).
- Hands-on with Microsoft tools like Power Query, Sharepoint, Power Automate.
- Knowledge of the DAMA DMBOK framework and CDMP certified or willing to get certified.
- A quantitative / analytical Master’s degree.
- > 8 years professional experience in a comparable environment (international organization with a complex IT landscape).
