Join us as an Information Risk, Privacy and Records Management Associate- Take on a new role where you’ll be establishing relationships with key stakeholders to maintain an effective governance structure
- You’ll provide subject matter expertise and guidance on all issues relating to information risk, data governance and privacy

What you'll do
In this key role, you’ll be providing professional support by developing appropriate processes, procedures, controls, training materials and records ensuring its compliance with legal or regulatory obligations in relation to information risk, privacy and data governance across all the jurisdictions it operates in.
You’ll also be:
- Providing Nat West Markets (NWM) DPO with privacy process detail and legal analysis and operate the N.V. privacy controls
- Providing NWM N.V. information risk management expertise, opinion and insight on projects and initiatives including product development with regards to different regulatory systems
- Acting as the point of contact for resolution of queries from the NWM N.V. businesses, engaging with technical experts where required
- Working closely with Nat West Group (NWG) privacy, information risk and data governance teams in ensuring a seamless and coordinated approach to any related issues and preparing for any regulatory engagement
- Identifying and implementing continuous improvements in the information risk and data governance operating practices and processes across NWM N.V. including identifying efficiencies, improvements, and opportunities to simplify for staff and customers
- Performing legal analysis and remediation if needed of proposed Privacy projects derived from NWG, NWM N.V. and NWM
The skills you'll need
We’re looking for someone with an EU legal background with an affinity for IT. You’ll need to have excellent communication skills with people of all levels, including senior stakeholders and executives. We’ll expect you to have fluency in Dutch and English.
We’ll also expect you to have a Banking and Financial Services experience working for a global firm. A Master’s degree in EU law will be essential.
You’ll also need:
- A CISM and CIPM certification or the ability to achieve the qualification within a defined timeframe
- A good understanding of General Data Protection Regulation principles and the ability to apply them with a risk-based approach
- A proactive approach with the ability to learn quickly
- Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills
- The ability to perform under pressure and think strategically along with motivating and coaching others
- The ability to manage highly confidential information in a discreet and professional manner
- The ability to manage multiple tasks, anticipate problems and react quickly to changing priorities
