Tech Lead (Business Operations, CX)

As a Tech Lead, you will drive the engineering vision and execution for the Business Operations & Customer Experience (BOCX) team, which focuses on integrating internal tools to enhance operational efficiency across Treatwell. Your primary objective will be to automate and optimize internal processes and customer support by integrating internal systems such as Salesforce with our Javascript- and Java-based platforms.

You will play a key technical leadership role, ensuring the delivery of scalable solutions while also acting as a stakeholder manager, together with the Product Manager and the Head of Product of your area, collaborating across departments to align technical solutions with business needs.

Initially, you will work closely with leadership and with our internal recruiting team to define the hiring process and onboard a second engineer for the team who will report into you, establishing a well-supported and collaborative team.

We seek a senior engineer comfortable with different programming languages and deep expertise in backend integrations, strong architectural skills, and the ability to navigate cross-functional collaborations effectively. You will ensure we leverage modern technologies and you evaluate AI products to build solutions.

You will also play a role in defining the long-term technical strategy of the BOCX team, ensuring sustainable and scalable growth.

You will be responsible for
  • Technical Leadership & Architecture: Define and implement scalable and maintainable integrations between Salesforce and our existing platforms.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with product teams and key business stakeholders to understand needs, align technical solutions with business goals, and drive impact.
  • Team Building & Growth: Participate in hiring and onboarding engineers sequentially, ensuring a strong engineering culture and knowledge-sharing.
  • Engineering Excellence: Maintain high standards in software development, security, and performance optimization, ensuring best practices in API design, event-driven architecture, and service-oriented architecture.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with other teams, including Salesforce administrators and product managers, to ensure seamless integrations and automation.
  • Operational Ownership: Monitor and improve system reliability, proactively addressing performance bottlenecks and operational challenges.
  • CI/CD & DevOps: Implement and maintain efficient CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments and improve software reliability.
  • Drive automation and efficiency improvements that directly affect business operations and customer support.
  • Play a pivotal role in team formation, hiring, and long-term strategy.
  • Work in a supportive, cross-functional environment with strong backing from leadership.
  • Be part of a growing, distributed team that values innovation and technical excellence.
About you
  • You have experience with integrating multiple systems (like or similar to Salesforce) through APIs or are eager to develop expertise in this area.
  • You have a proven track record of leading technical teams, providing mentorship, and fostering a culture of collaboration.
  • You possess excellent communication skills, with a strong ability to influence stakeholders and align technical initiatives with business objectives.
  • You are a senior engineer with experience in backend integrations and a solid grasp of best architecture practices (e.g., DDD, event-driven architecture, APIs).
  • You have strong engineering foundations and expertise in Java or JavaScript and you are not afraid to use other programming languages when required.
  • You are familiar with AWS, CI/CD pipelines, security best practices, performance optimization, and scalable architectures.
  • You are business-oriented, prioritizing solutions that drive real impact and efficiency.
