Key about your role
On behalf of the business line Life and Pension we seek to recruit a Junior Legal Counsel in the Netherlands or Denmark. This is a role for a lawyer with a getting-things-done mentality, who combines business sense with an interest in legal and compliance.As Junior Legal Counsel you will report to the General Counsel Life and Pension, who is based in the Netherlands and is looking for support in the wide array of the legal work. You will work with the business on a daily basis and function as their trusted advisor.
You will be based in our Utrecht or Rotterdam office.
Your main tasks- Reviewing, negotiating and amending (international) sales and procurement contracts;
- Advising in data protection matters, from negotiating data processing agreement to assisting the business in drawing up data transfer analyses;
- Assisting in day-to-day corporate work;
- Support of the business in risk analyses and mitigation actions;
- Following legal developments and translating these into practical instructions to board and business.
- A Master's degree in (European Union member state) law;
- Interest in contract, IT and privacy law;
- Interest in working for the financial and specifically the life & pension sector with its regulatory environment;
- Willingness to learn and grow;
- Excellent drafting and communication skills in English and Dutch;
- Daring to advise and taking a position, thereby balancing risks and business interests;
- Cooperative, down to earth and pro-active;
- Relevant working experience is an advantage.
