For our office in Amstelveen, we are looking for a new colleague for the position of New Product Developer K-Food.

We are seeking a creative and passionate New Product Developer with expertise in Korean cuisine to join our strategy team. The ideal candidate will lead the development of innovative Korean food products, from concept to commercialization, ensuring alignment with market trends, consumer preferences, and brand standards.

This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including marketing, production, and sales, to successfully bring new Korean food products to market.

Key responsibilities of our New Product Developer:

Market Research:

Conduct research on emerging trends, consumer preferences, and competitive products in the Korean food market to identify opportunities for product innovation.

Product Development:

Lead the development of new Korean food products by working with the culinary/R&D team to test and refine recipes, ensuring taste, texture, shelf life, and food safety are optimized for production scalability.

Collaboration:

Partner with marketing, sales, and logistics teams to ensure product alignment with brand strategy, sourcing requirements, and market demand.

Regulatory Compliance:

Work closely with the QA team to ensure all products comply with local and international food safety regulations and labeling standards for Korean food products.

Documentation:

Maintain detailed documentation for product development, including recipes, ingredient specifications, nutritional information, and production processes.

Innovation Pipeline:

Continuously develop new ideas and concepts to expand the Korean food product portfolio, contributing to the company’s innovation pipeline.
What do we ask of you?

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Culinary Arts, or a related field. Specialization in Korean cuisine or international food development is a plus.

Experience:

5+ years of experience in food product development. Experience in large-scale food manufacturing is preferred.

Skills:
In-depth knowledge of traditional and modern Korean food trends and ingredients.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Creative thinking and a passion for innovation in food products.
Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Driving license.
Proficiency in Korean is highly preferred. Fluency in English is required.
Available working in Amstelveen, Netherlands.
