Area Inventory Planner
Wilhelmsen Ships Service (WSS) is looking for an Area Inventory Planner
We are looking for an Area Inventory Planner who will be responsible for the inventory planning execution for the warehouses in their assigned area. Responsible for the consolidation and execution of the Category Demand plans and drive the purchasing cycle with suppliers.The Area Inventory Planners are key to making the products available with minimal delays, contributing to the overall availability target.
Who you will work with:The Area Inventory Planner will report to the Area Inventory Manager. Closely collaborating with the Category Demand Planners, suppliers and procurement on disruptions in the supply plan and actively contributing to resolutions or proposed actions.
What you will work on:
- Planning to secure availability of stocked products by consolidating and executing on the category demand plans
- Creating purchase orders for assigned internal and external suppliers to the receiving sites within the WSS network
- Assuring suppliers are meeting agreed and confirmed delivery dates per purchase order and updating changes accordingly
- Reviewing supplier invoices, and support finance when needed on solving any discrepancies attached to Supplier invoices
- Monitoring Supplier Performance and provide input to procurement for their Supplier follow-up
- Aligning with Operations to ensure availability of warehouse capacity, receive input on distribution developments, country restrictions, disruptions, etc.

- order processing and re-ordering (preferred suppliers, lead-times and other inputs required)
- Contributing to the formation of optimal distribution model within the assigned area
- Formulating standard KPI measurement reports and providing analytical support
- Actively participating in improving inventory efficiency
What you need to succeed in the role:
- Vocational logistics education and/or experienced in inventory planning and management
- Good knowledge of computer programs attached to Inventory Management (i.e. ERP systems, Inventory Planning solutions and MS Excel)
- Good knowledge as to transportation and storage of dangerous goods
- Minimum of 2 years working experience (inventory management or operations management)
- Good command of English
