THE OPPORTUNITY
Contribute to the value of our brands, products, and organization by managing daily local and regional customer service activities within the ROPU. This role involves building strong, collaborative relationships with customers and external service providers, ensuring the delivery of our products within Human Pharma and Animal Health.
You will joining a team of 5 direct colleagues in our Amsterdam office which is part of our MIDI team consisting of 14 colleagues. This position is based in the Netherlands, Amsterdam and reports directly to the Head of Customer Service.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Execute all day-to-day activities regarding customer order management (order taking, shelf-life, quantity and pricing checks, processing, billing, back-orders).
- First/Single point of contact for daily communication with the relevant 3PL/4PL warehouses with regards to Order Management.
- Day-to-day coordination related to outbound deliveries / customer service activities.
- Financial administration related to stock (value), customer orders, returns, complaints and customer agreements.
- Handle, process and follow-up product recalls, returns and complaints (financial, technical product and logistical complaints).
- Initiation, setup, creation, checks and maintenance of master data for material and customers in relevant Boehringer Ingelheim’s systems, relevant third-party systems.
- Initiation, setup, creation, checks and maintenance of EDI, Webshops and/or system connections with external parties.
- Relevant testing and key-user activities for above mentioned systems and connections.
- Coordinate outbound delivery of products to customers in line with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct inventory management (stock reconciliation), regular review of short-dated inventory, version changes.
- Supply Chain cost optimization, including reduction of inventory destructions and overall cost optimization of ®OPU SCM and customer service activities.
Ensure behavior and customer service activities are in line with regulations, Pharmacovigilance and HSE policies, GDP and best practices, in accordance with EU guidelines, local guidelines/legislation as well as Boehringer Ingelheim’s policies, documents and procedures.
- WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TEAM

- Attention to Detail: Ability to focus on details while maintaining a broad perspective (helicopter view).
- Problem-Solving and Multi-Tasking: Strong skills in solving problems and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective Time Management: Understand and prioritize tasks efficiently to manage time effectively.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a diverse team.
Technical Expertise:
- Extensive experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for analytics and mass data processing.
- Familiarity with various reporting tools.
Language Skills:
- English, strong preference for Dutch.
