Background of the Position
The HR Assistant will provide HR support and assistance related to HR's administration. In addition, the HR Assistant will provide support and assistance in the administration of the ICMP’s Organizational Development and Learning Program and the Health, Safety and Wellness Program.
Under the overall guidance and supervision of the Head of Human Resources, the Human Resources Assistant duties and responsibilities will include, but will not necessarily be limited to, the following:
Human Resources Administration- Provide administrative support in recruitment processes.
- Ensure all new hires have provided proof of residency and nationality along with emergency contract details.
- Support HR administratively to track and administer the ICMP job description system, conduct desk audits if requested.
- Under the guidance of the HR Coordinators, maintain personnel files and records in the HR systems.
- Act as HR Quality Control ensuring data in Bamboo HR is updated and accurate by running monthly checks and reviews.
- Support in the issuance attestation letters.
- Set up and run monthly reports on key HR metrics.
- Prepare, print and issue ICMP ID cards for all staff members.
- Support in the administration of flexible work from home arrangements.
- Other related duties, as assigned.
- Support and assist in the administration of the ICMP’s Organizational Development and Learning Program.
- Provide administrative support in establishing and developing an ICMP health, safety and wellness program.
- Specialization(s)/Professional Designation: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or any related field.
- Minimum of five years of relevant professional experience in an international organization or similar environment, with a focus on international, administrative, and human resources management administration. matters.
- Professional fluency in written and spoken English.
- Knowledge of Dutch/any other language is considered as an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent ability to organize and manage multiple competing deadlines.
- Enthusiasm, humility and a positive attitude with the willing to take on a variety of responsibilities including repetitive and mundane tasks.
- Tact, discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel and Power Point.
- Proven ability to interact positively with colleagues regardless of culture, nationality or gender.
- Commitment to the underlying objective of helping the authorities and families of the missing to account for missing persons in an impartial and transparent manner.
Benefits
This is a full-time position based in The Hague, The Netherlands with a competitive base salary at the TOS 5 level on the ICMP Technical and Operational Support salary scale. The position is not eligible for relocation or expatriate benefits.
