Accountant
As our accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of Storyteq. Storyteq is the tech unit of ITG and is responsible for developing and growing different Marketing tech products globally, Creative Automation is one of the solutions in the group that is being managed and operated from our office in Amsterdam.
You’ll work closely with the tech teams that are in Amsterdam, Utrecht and London and the global finance team located in our HQ in Birmingham. Reporting to the Finance Director of Storyteq, you will ensure that procedures are followed, all transactions are timeously recorded and tax payments and returns are calculated and paid on time.
As a finance professional, you like to dive into the details, would never deliver something of which you are not 100% sure and you understand the needs of this role in the context of a Dutch company being part of an international group. You will work closely with our finance colleagues and make sure we are on top of our transactions and cash position and advise accordingly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible of our billing ensuring invoices are timeously sent out to our clients.
- Overall ownership of the preparation of the monthly and annual financial close processes for statutory and management reporting.
- You are responsible for maintaining the accounts receivable and accounts payable administration together with our shared service centre.
- Driving continuous improvements to ensure smooth processes and accurate data across the group that are aligned with the central finance team.
- Manage all accounting transactions, ensure timely payments, compute taxes, and prepare returns.
- You are responsible for the payment process of salaries and related accounting administration.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting or controlling role
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance/accounting
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Have strong analytical & communication skills to bring ideas across
- Excellent excel skills
- Proficiency in using accounting software, preferably sage intacct
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively across teams
- You are both able to work autonomously as well as have the ability to work well within a team
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
