Events Marketing Intern
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you’ll be working across multiple marketing projects and channels. You’ll have the opportunity to learn new skills, work in a fast-paced environment, and gain valuable marketing experience.

We write technology news (millions of monthly visitors to thenextweb.com, host events (such as the TNW conference with 12.5k visitors), collect and analyse tech startup data as well as operate tech spaces in Amsterdam.

The roleYou’ll be supporting the Marketing team in the planning and execution of marketing projects, including but not limited to:
- Brainstorming creative, innovative, and impactful campaign ideas
- Writing creative copy that’s tailored to different channels and audiences
- Assisting with the TNW Conference website to ensure it’s always up to date
- Assisting with writing and scheduling email campaigns
- Producing optimized content for our social media channels, helping with our social schedule, and providing on-the-day social media coverage of the event
- Designing eye-catching and effective marketing materials that reflect TNW’s brand
- Providing customer support and engaging with our community through our inbox and social media channels
- Support other initiatives and events team members where necessary
- Be enrolled in a Dutch university or posses a valid permit to work in the Netherlands.
- Excellent communication and copy-writing skills, both written and spoken (English language) as well as attention to detail
- Understanding of using social media for business, or proven experience in managing social media accounts
- Enjoys writing engaging copy and is passionate about marketing
- Proactive in their approach to work, is creative, and enjoys working in a team
- Able to handle fast-paced, hands-on working environment
- Has a good eye for design and imagery, and ideally knows their way around Canva or has experience with other design programs
- Real-world experience: You’ll gain hands-on experience across all areas of an events marketing campaign, from managing your own email campaigns to managing our social media channels at the event and everything in between (we promise you won’t be answering emails all day every day)
