QA Engineer (2-3 years experience)
We are seeking a QA Engineer to join our team and ensure that our software is robust, user-friendly, and aligns with our high standards. In this role, you will:
- Design and execute manual tests
- Perform data reconciliation, data validation, and data quality checks
- Support automation efforts
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to improve our testing processes and product quality
As part of a data-driven organization, you will contribute to creating effective testing strategies, identifying potential risks, and ensuring smooth and efficient software delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Functional Testing: Execute manual tests to verify that our software meets specified requirements, take part in release process together with developers
- Test Documentation: Design Test plans, test cases, test runs to ensure quality of project
- Automated Testing Support: Run automated test suites and monitor their results to identify issues and ensure test coverage
- Data testing: help to ensure a quality of data calculations, perform data reconciliation, data validation, and data quality checks
- Alerts Monitoring: Keep track of user-facing alerts
- Tech support: provide technical support to the Member Success Team, help investigate user issues
- Reporting: Prepare detailed test reports, offering insights into the quality and stability of our software. Keep track of bugs and participate in bug prioritization process
- Specification Review: Participate in specification review process to help prevent unclarities and bugs on early stages
- Process Improvement: Proactively identify and implement initiatives to enhance testing processes and overall product quality
- Collaboration: Work closely with developers, data engineers, product managers, and stakeholders, promoting a team-oriented approach to quality assurance by sharing your knowledge and insights. Participate in meetings and advocate quality
Requirements
Experience:
- 2+ years of professional experience in technical software testing
- Hands-on experience with functional testing and test management tools
Technical Skills:
- Good knowlegae of SQL for database validation and analysis
- Knowledge of programming (preferably Java)
- Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman
- Understanding of Continuous Delivery strategies and software pipelines
Testing Expertise:
- Strong understanding of software testing theories, methods, and tools
- Experience with test strategies, risk assessments, and documentation creation (e.g., test plans, cases)
Test Management Tools:
- Familiarity with ClickUp, Github, QASE
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Eagerness to learn about business processes and drive their improvement
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Eligibility:
- Legal authorization to work in the Netherlands is required
