Functie
We are a hands-on team supporting a wide range of corporate matters across the world. We focus on providing robust business-oriented advice and support on global legal matters. We are an essential business partner supporting central management, central teams and local teams within the Banijay footprint.We manage the Group's legal entities & corporate data,intercompany agreements and look after the governance of the Group. In addition, we identify and drive company-wide projects with the aim of improving legal and business efficiency and delivery to our wide range of stakeholders.
The central legal team is part of the Chief Legal Counsel's remit. We are a diverse and international team of 15 enthusiastic lawyers with M&A, IP, compliance and corporate backgrounds. We offer a diverse workload and ability to grow.
What we are looking for?
For the corporate legal team in Amsterdam, we are looking for an enthusiastic Junior Legal Counsel - Corporate with a strong corporate legal background and a no-nonsense and friendly approach. You will have the unique opportunity to be part of a world class legal team which consist of the Manager Legal Corporate, a Legal Counsel (both based in Amsterdam) and a Senior Legal Counsel and Paralegal (both based in Paris).
As part of the day-to-day business, you will be:
- The central team's point of contact for certain territories;
- Reviewing and preparing legal internal and external documentation in relation to internal restructurings;
- Integrating newly acquired entities into the Banijay footprint;
- Advising internal stakeholders on corporate and governance matters;
- Supporting the business in any general corporate legal matter that may arise;
- Coordinating organization-wide projects;
- Managing the Group's legal entities and corporate data, such as performing filings and handling technical issues in connection with the Group Corporate Housekeeping Tool;
- Contributing to team events.
- A master degree in law with a focus on corporate law;
- 1-3 years experience in corporate law in an international organization;
- Having been a lawyer is not a requirement for this role;
- A commercial mindset with international focus;
- Curious and eager to learn in a dynamic environment;
- Excellent verbal and writing skills in both Dutch and English;
- Ability to work at a high pace and manage a mixed case load and volume of legal matters;
- Positive team player & self-motivated to work independently, seeking direction and guidance as appropriate;
- Regular travel between Amsterdam HQ and Paris HQ may be required.
- A gross annual Base Salary range of EUR50.000 - EUR60.000 including 8% holiday allowance, based on experience and a full-time employment;
