Your opportunities as Lead Mechanical Design Engineer at Capgemini Engineering
As a Lead engineer you are responsible for the realization of high-precision mechanical modules, ensuring that the specifications in the field of safety, reliability, cost-effectiveness, manufacturability and serviceability are met. The typical work consists of designing products and systems for temperature, flow and contamination control including cabinets, manifolds, fluids lines.You are responsible for demonstrating that the design works as intended and ensuring quality is maintained across all engineering activities along the V-model. You work in a team to plan and deliver the work packages and review and finalise all outputs produced by the design engineers.
This includes, but is not limited to: Technical Product Documentations, Bill of Materials, 3D Models. As a lead mechanical engineer you proactively manage internal and external stakeholders and you review and improve designs. The team can vary in size from 3-8 design engineers.

- You hold an MSc degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or equivalent;
- At least 7 years of experience as a mechanical design engineer and experience in leading teams of up to 10 design engineers;
- You have experience with 3D CAD modeling preferably in Siemens NX and you can work in PLM system Teamcenter;
- Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerances and FMEA;
- Previous experience in coaching and guiding Design Engineers, and working in direct client-facing setup, including explaining technical decisions to stakeholders;
