Our client is one of the leading global suppliers of players in the market for high quality acrylic and polycarbonate films and sheets. Their products are used in various applications including LED lighting, motorcycle windshields and facade glazing.
Functie
The Category Manager Indirect Materials main responsibilities will be:
- Analysis of the responsible category/procurement groups, implementation and evaluation of risk analysis and supplier assessments
- Developing KPI-supported strategic goals
- Planning the medium and long term development of requirements together with the requisitioners
- Developing, planning and implementing measures for the category as part of the overall procurement strategy to increase/maintain competition
- Monitoring and communicating market trends and conducting market, supplier and competitor analyses
- Supplier sourcing
- Contact person for strategic supplier relationships and first escalation stage in incident and complaint management
- Planning and implementation of tenders, preparation of tender documents and evaluation of offer documents, contract negotiations and contract management
- Collaboration in the planning and implementation of supplier days and meetings
- Optimisation of payment terms and material inventories to manage current assets
- Compliance with legal requirements in contract and procurement law as well as internal guidelines
- Collaboration in the operational ordering process
Profiel
The successful Category Manager Indirect Materials has- At least 3 years of professional experience within a purchasing organisation in the strategic procurement fields of indirect purchasing, preferably in technical purchasing in the areas of equipment & automation, MRO supplies and other indirect purchasing field
- SAP knowledge in the modules of MM Purchasing area required
- Basis legal knowledge/understanding
- S4/HANA desirable
- Knowledge of catalogue systems desirable
- Fluent in English, Dutch/German desirable
