Functie

The Category Manager Indirect Materials main responsibilities will be:

  • Analysis of the responsible category/procurement groups, implementation and evaluation of risk analysis and supplier assessments
  • Developing KPI-supported strategic goals
  • Planning the medium and long term development of requirements together with the requisitioners
  • Developing, planning and implementing measures for the category as part of the overall procurement strategy to increase/maintain competition
  • Monitoring and communicating market trends and conducting market, supplier and competitor analyses
  • Supplier sourcing
  • Contact person for strategic supplier relationships and first escalation stage in incident and complaint management
  • Planning and implementation of tenders, preparation of tender documents and evaluation of offer documents, contract negotiations and contract management
  • Collaboration in the planning and implementation of supplier days and meetings
  • Optimisation of payment terms and material inventories to manage current assets
  • Compliance with legal requirements in contract and procurement law as well as internal guidelines
  • Collaboration in the operational ordering process

Profiel

The successful Category Manager Indirect Materials has
  • At least 3 years of professional experience within a purchasing organisation in the strategic procurement fields of indirect purchasing, preferably in technical purchasing in the areas of equipment & automation, MRO supplies and other indirect purchasing field
  • SAP knowledge in the modules of MM Purchasing area required
  • Basis legal knowledge/understanding
  • S4/HANA desirable
  • Knowledge of catalogue systems desirable
  • Fluent in English, Dutch/German desirable
