Job description
As a Hardware Engineer you will independently design and draft hardware for complete control systems, working on projects that range from a few kilowatts to several megawatts. This role involves creating both standard components and fully customized installations for clients, contributing to the development of innovative and high-quality systems that support a cleaner world.
Responsibilities include: Validating and correcting the equipment list;
Designing schematics in EPLAN Electric P8;Advising on instrumentation selection;
Supporting the sales engineer with detailed calculations (in the long term, once you are well trained);
Communicating with various internal and external parties during the design/execution phase and assisting external parties with E-service inquiries;Assisting the Commissioning Field Service Engineers in the startup and servicing of projects, sometimes on-site at the client's location.
Job requirements
A Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of required work experience in one of the following fields: Control Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Automation;Familiarity with the Machinery Directive NEN-EN-IEC 60204-1 and Switchgear Design Verification NEN-EN-IEC 61439-2;
Experience with EPLAN P8;
Strong practical electrical insight;
Ability to work in a structured and accurate manner;
Good planning and organizational skills;
Knowledge of instrumentation and control systems for process analysis/control is a plus;
Basic knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal/reading PLC programs is a plus;
In possession of a VCA certificate or willing to obtain it in the short term;
Proficiency in Afrikaans and English. German is a plus.
