Full stack Software Engineer

We are looking for Java + Angular Software Engineers to help us build new functionality and add improvements to our software. If you have an eye for writing code and are interested in agile methodologies, we want you to join one of our teams!

Key about your role

As a Full stack software engineer you are responsible for building new features, bug fixing, and improving existing functionality in Axon. Axon is our standard SaaS platform supporting all core insurance processes.

You will collaborate closely with design engineers and test engineers, actively participating in refinement, sprint planning, and demoing your work during sprint reviews. At times, you will also have the opportunity to interact directly with customers during these meetings.

As a medior engineer, you are expected to participate in code reviews of other developers on the team. The complexity of the code you review will increase gradually as you gain experience.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual who strives to bring teams, codebases, and development practices in line with the latest industry standards.

Key about your team

The Configurations Cluster consists of two Scrum teams: ACCUrate and PRODUCTive. Their primary responsibility is to enable insurance companies to configure insurance products tailored to their specific needs. This functionality is vital to our business.

• You have experience in working with SQL and databases (DB2, PostgreSQL);
• Solid understanding of Java (any other back end language can also be okay) and Angular
• Familiarity with AngularJS can be an added advantage.
• You are used to creating and performing unit, system and integration tests as part of your development work;
• You understand the agile way of working, tools and techniques;
• You have an eye for writing code with attention for performance, scalability and maintainability;
• Experience with large technical ecosystems using Java, IntelliJ, Git, Gradle, Angular, and Docker is a plus.
• A Certificate of Conduct (VOG) and reference check are part of the application process

• A monthly gross salary between € 3,400 and €4,700 based on 40 hours per week;
• 8% holiday allowance of your total gross salary;
