Your new challenge
As an HR assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting the Jnr Advisor and CPO in the day-to-day operations of the PCT team. The ideal candidate will have a high-level attention to detail and a focus on HR administration and maintaining our HRIS (AFAS).You will work closely with employees and the PCT team to assist with queries, maintain compliance, and improve HR workflows. The position is ideal for someone with previous HR experience who is comfortable with ambiguity and can thrive in a scale-up environment where priorities and deadlines are constantly evolving.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Employee Relations- Be a point of contact for employee relations issues, addressing employee concerns and assisting the team with any HR administrative issues.
- Assist in the resolution of employee issues and concerns, escalating to the Chief People Officer when necessary.
- Participate in projects and initiatives aimed at improving processes and enhancing the employee experience.
- Maintain and optimise the AFAS system, ensuring accurate employee data input, troubleshooting, running reports, dealing with relevant training and development of how-to guides, and liaising with vendors to address any system-related issues.
- Assist in developing and enforcing HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with employment law and company standards
- Managing the ensuring all updated policies are uploaded and maintained in the Quality Assurance system (BPA).
- Assist the team with managing the onboarding process for new hires, including arranging relocation, liaising with external vendors to manage immigration, housing, etc
- Ensure a seamless offboarding procedure for leavers including exit interviews and data archiving
- Assist in administering performance reviews and development plans, working closely with L&D to coordinate and run reports and monitor the process.
- Assist in the implementation and management of programs and policies that promote a high-performance culture.
- Maintain personnel files, manage employee documentation, and support day-to-day administrative tasks such as tracking leaves, updating records, and maintaining compliance reports.
- Support and improve HR processes and workflows, help identify inefficiencies, and propose solutions.
- Assist in benefits and compensation administration,
- Act as a point of contact for employees with HR queries.
- Ensure clear communication regarding HR policies, procedures and benefits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- Around 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English and Dutch
- Understanding of Dutch labour law
- Proficiency using HRIS systems, specifically AFAS, is highly desirable
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Excellent organization and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent attention to detail and customer-orientated
- Proficiency in administrative duties such as data entry, and record keeping
