Direct Tax Specialist
As Direct Tax Specialist, you will be part of a team of 7 Group Tax members based in Eindhoven, as well as a part of the global tax community at DLL. Your primary focus will be to, in close co-operation with other departments, safeguard that DLL’s business and organization models are optimally aligned and in compliance with fiscal legislation and regulations and to ensure that DLL’s tax obligations are transparent and properly recorded in relevant tax returns, annual accounts and other required reporting, safeguarding DLL’s tax reputation is protected to the maximum extent possible and DLL‘s tax position is optimized considering all relevant DLL’s principles.

Day to day:
- Monitoring, analyzing and pro-actively advising stakeholders on tax related matters and developments in (international) tax regulations.
- Provide tax advice to DLL group and DLL countries on various tax related matters.
- Act as point of contact for a broad range of daily tax issues of the group.
- Support DLL countries during tax audits and litigations.
- On a regular basis, align with Rabobank Group Tax on mutual tax topics.
- Consult with foreign external tax advisers to resolve direct tax questions.
- Analyzing tax implications in relation to transfer pricing, interest deductibility, equity allocation etc.
- Prepare, monitor, review and provide support for DLL's tax accounting positions for the DLL group as well as DLL countries.
- Document and explain tax accounting positions to the external auditor.
- Prepare, In cooperation with Rabobank Group Tax, various tax related reporting such as Pillar II, Country-by-Country and Tax Transparency reporting.
- Be a part of various working groups on subjects like (treasury) transfer pricing, tax aspects of guarantees.
- Participate in multidisciplinary projects like acquisitions, Pillar 2, (cross-border) mergers, restructurings etc.
- Developing tax related process improvements.
- And many other tax related tasks like e.g. client tax integrity, ATAD, DAC etc....
- Two working days per year volunteering for a local charity.

Essentials:
- You have approximately 3-7 years of experience as a direct tax specialist, preferably in an advisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of direct taxes, as well as knowledge of international taxes and tax accounting.
- Good written and spoken English language skills.
- Affinity with and/or willingness to expand knowledge on other tax related subjects such as Transfer Pricing.
- A tax qualification, for example a degree in Tax Law or Tax Economics.
- Good networker with strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- DLL Group Tax members work at least two to three days a week from the Eindhoven head office.
Extras:
- Ability to ‘think’ in numbers to assess impact of tax advice for balance sheet respectively P&L
- Dutch language skills are a great advantage
- Ability to think in processes as to come up with tax process improvements
