Compliance Officer Part-time 3 days a week role

The Nuvei Compliance department is looking for a part-time (24hrs p.w.) Compliance Officer to support our marketplace solution Nuvei-Payaut. The successful individual will be responsible for maintaining a sound compliance framework for Payaut and provide support to the compliance activities of Nuvei Group.The compliance officer monitors the identification, analysis and mitigation of compliance risks within the company, reports periodically and escalate compliance issues to management.

Key Responsibilities- Providing ad-hoc advice and guidance to management and business partners on the full range of compliance topics like AML, Sanctions, licensing, data privacy, code of conduct.
- You create and maintain Risk & Compliance policies and procedures.
- You advice on risk appetite and compliance issues on client acceptance, periodic reviews and exit.
- You develop key controls on integrity and compliance processes.
- You conduct periodic risk assessments with key stakeholders, including the Systematic Integrity Risk Assessment (SIRA).
- You investigate and give advice on escalations from the 1LoD on AML and Sanctions queries and submit reports when needed.
- Preparation and timely delivery of different regulatory (DNB) risk reports.
- You foster a strong compliance culture within the company and develop, maintain and conduct a Compliance training and awareness programme.
- You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field of study.
- You have experience in working as a Compliance Officer (3 years+).
- You have experience in working in a regulated financial or payment institution.
- You have a good understanding of the relevant Dutch and international laws and regulations (WFT, WwFT, PSD2, AMLD4/5)
- You have experience in maintaining a compliance control framework.
- You have experience in conducting systematic integrity risk assessments (SIRA)
- You have strong attention to detail and possess excellent analytical skills.
- You like to work in an international and constantly evolving environment
- You have good interpersonal skills.
- Strong (English) communication skills (verbal, written and spoken).
Nice to have:
- You have obtained further knowledge through professional certifications like e.g. CCP and/or CAMS
- Good understanding of business processes in the payment and e-commerce field.
