International Privacy Officer
This role offers the opportunity to lead our privacy strategies and work with teams across multiple countries, ensuring compliance with GDPR and safeguarding our clients' and employees' data.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s privacy framework and strategy.
- Establish and implement privacy policies, standards, and procedures across the organization.
- Collaborate with legal teams across LYNX’s branches to ensure compliance with GDPR and other privacy laws.
- Oversee data retention and disposal processes, aligning with legal and business requirements.
- Provide guidance and training to employees on privacy issues and raise awareness of compliance.
- Conduct regular checks and assessments to identify and manage privacy and data protection risks.
- Support and coordinate Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), conducting them when necessary.
- Manage responses to privacy incidents, including data breaches, ensuring proper steps are taken and reporting to relevant authorities.
- Maintain the register of processing activities and ensure accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with the Information Security Officer, Data Protection Officer (DPO), and other stakeholders to ensure privacy is embedded in company processes.
- Review new initiatives, services, and products to ensure they meet privacy-by-design principles.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Information Technology, or related field; Master’s degree or relevant certifications (CIPP, CIPM, CIPT) are a plus or willingness to obtain them.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in privacy and data protection, with a strong focus on GDPR.
- Excellent command of Dutch and English.
- Strong understanding of privacy laws and regulations, particularly GDPR.
- Experience conducting DPIAs and handling data breaches.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and lead initiatives to ensure privacy compliance.
- Strong communication and training skills, with the ability to raise awareness of privacy issues across the organization.
