Our client is a company which operates in the Aerospace industry in South Holland.

Functie

In this role as Senior Buyer a.i. you will be focused on the following key responsibilities:

• Supplier Management:
• Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with existing suppliers in the Netherlands, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
• Proactively manage supplier performance, including quality, delivery, and cost.
• Address and resolve supplier issues effectively and diplomatically, while maintaining a positive and productive working relationship.
• Procurement & Sourcing:
• Manage the entire procurement process, from initial sourcing and qualification to contract negotiation and order placement.
• Develop and implement strategies to mitigate supply chain risks, including identifying and qualifying alternative suppliers.
• Negotiate competitive pricing and favorable contract terms with suppliers.
• Contract Management:
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring they align with company policies and legal requirements.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
• Urgency Management:
• Effectively communicate and escalate urgent procurement needs to suppliers while maintaining a professional and diplomatic approach.
• Develop and implement strategies to expedite order fulfillment when necessary.
• Data Analysis & Reporting:
• Track and analyze key procurement metrics (e.g., on-time delivery, cost savings, supplier performance) to identify areas for improvement.
• Prepare regular reports on procurement activities and performance for management review.

Profiel

For this role as Senior Buyer a.i. you need:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior procurement role within the manufacturing industry.
• Proven experience managing complex supplier relationships, particularly in international markets (NL, DE, UK).
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Strong understanding of contract law and procurement regulations.
• Affinity with the Aerospace industry is a plus.
• Fluency in both Dutch and English.

• Full time assignment
