THE ROLE
The Marketing Manager Benelux & Nordics works with the Head of Marketing Benelux & Nordics, the programming team and key stakeholders in the BBC London office to develop, plan and execute effective marketing campaigns for BBC Studios’ products and services across Benelux & Nordics.
Your key objective is to defend and sustain the traditional TV consumption by core audiences while expanding consumption of BBC content across new products and touchpoints. In close collaboration with the Head of Marketing, you plan for effective and engaging campaigns that drive tune-in and non-linear consumption.
The role will play an important role within the Benelux & Nordics team as marketing is a key element of the growth strategy of BBC Studios in the Benelux & Nordcs region.The role will be based in our Amsterdam office and report to the Head of Marketing Benelux & Nordics.
Strategy and planning- Develops and implements the annual marketing strategy that aligns with the overall business objectives and brand positioning.
- Identifies growth opportunities and analyzes market opportunities and research to inform strategic choices.
- Analyses target audience insights and behaviours to inform new, innovative way to connect and drive interest for the BBC Studios channels and content products
- Plans and executes multi-channel marketing campaigns for specific programs, shows and events.
- Partners effectively with BBC Creative to develop compelling, effective campaigns and channel/brand identities
- Leads the relationship and output of local marketing, PR and digital agencies to drive integrated media campaigns that maximize impact of marketing budgets.
- Leads the planning, implementation and effectiveness of owned social media channels
- Develops digital marketing strategies, including social media, online advertising, and influencer partnerships.
- Reviews campaign performance to ensure the output is delivering against the objectives and we are constantly learning and improving our approach
- Builds, sustains and constantly enhances healthy and effective relationships with all stakeholders – both internal and external
- Constantly seeking performance optimisation, pro-actively challenging the status quo in search of continuous improvements
WHAT DOES IT TAKE?
Key Criteria:
- Affinity with the BBC brands, content & audience. Familiarity with BBC First programming in the region is a plus.
- A minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a relevant Marketing function and a proven track record in developing successful marketing campaigns, both digital and offline.
- Excellent communication skills, both in Dutch and English
- A strong ambition and innovative, results driven mindset to drive growth and diversification for the BBC Studios business across Benelux & Nordics
- Creative with a keen eye for detail and a strong passion for television and media.
