DEVOPS/Automation (Platform) engineer

About the Role

This role requires a deep understanding of Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, and containerized environments, with a commitment to industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Design:

• Ensure that the CI/CD Platform design adheres to industry best practices for scalability, security, and performance.
• Update and optimize existing CI/CD Platform designs for applications and infrastructure.
• Develop a clear and actionable roadmap for the evolution of the CI/CD Platform.

Automation:

• Create reusable pipelines, templates, and automation scripts for building, releasing, and updating applications and infrastructure components.
• Focus on repeatability and ease of management to facilitate future deployments.

Implementation:

• Conduct bi-annual upgrades of application servers and agents.
• Collaborate with Development teams (C1-2) to support their CI/CD tasks.
• Deliver training and knowledge transfer sessions to ensure effective use of the CI/CD Platform.
• Track and report metrics such as cycle time, time to value (TTV), uptime, error rate, and team retention rate.

Requirements

Eligibility Requirement:

• Please note: This position is only open to EU nationals due to the need for security clearance at some point in the project.

Must-Have:

• Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with CI/CD Platforms.
• At least 3 years of experience administering Azure DevOps Server.
• 2+ years of application deployment experience on Kubernetes.
• Deep expertise in Azure DevOps Server and Service administration.
• Strong background in CI/CD pipeline creation and configuration, with a solid grasp of DevOps principles (automation, pipelines, feedback loops, efficiency, etc.).
• Proficient in application containerization, packaging, and Kubernetes deployments (helm charts, operators, pipelines).
• Good understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Puppet.
• Certification: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).
• Excellent command of English, equivalent to B2 level (CERF).
