The Role:
We are seeking a driven and experienced Product Owner/Product Manager to lead the development and execution of AI-powered products and solutions within the Communication, Media and Technology. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Telco landscape, a passion for AI and its potential to transform the industry, and a proven track record of successfully bringing products to market.This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, technical understanding, customer focus, and agile execution. You will be responsible for adjusting the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI-driven products, working closely with engineering, data science, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product vision and strategy:
- Champion the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI-powered products within the Telco domain, aligned with overall business objectives. This includes continuously evaluating and adapting the vision and strategy based on market feedback, technological advancements, and business priorities.
- Translate the product vision and strategy into actionable user stories that capture the needs and desires of target users. Prioritize these user stories based on business value, technical feasibility, customer impact, and alignment with the overall product roadmap. Maintain a well-groomed and prioritized product backlog.
- Establish clear and measurable OKRs to define ambitious goals for the AI-powered products. Define corresponding KPIs to track progress towards the company objectives and to monitor the overall health and performance of the products. Regularly review and adjust OKRs and KPIs as needed to reflect changing business priorities and market conditions.
- Actively promote the product vision, strategy, and roadmap across the company at every level, from executive leadership to individual team members. Communicate the value proposition and benefits of the AI-powered products to build enthusiasm, alignment, and support. This includes creating compelling presentations, demos, and other materials to showcase the product and its potential.
- Product Roadmap and Execution:
- Collaborate with the development team to define clear and achievable sprint goals that align with the overall product roadmap. Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives to ensure smooth execution and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with data scientists, AI engineers, and software developers to ensure the successful development and delivery of AI-powered solutions. This includes providing clear requirements, prioritizing tasks, and facilitating communication between different teams.
- Manage the product lifecycle from ideation to launch and post-launch optimization. This encompasses all stages of the product lifecycle, from initial concept and design through development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance and improvement.
- Continuously refine the product based on user feedback, market analysis, and performance data. This includes iterating on existing features, adding new functionalities, and addressing any bugs or issues. Regularly review and adapt the product roadmap based on feedback from users, stakeholders, and market analysis. Adjust the product vision and strategy as needed to respond to changing business priorities, technological advancements, and business priorities.
- Strategic Mindset:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, data science, marketing, sales, and customer service, to ensure alignment and effective execution. This involves fostering open communication, facilitating collaboration, and resolving any conflicts that may arise.
- Communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap (and any adjustments) to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. This includes tailoring communication to different audiences, providing regular updates, and actively soliciting feedback.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to secure buy-in and support. Identify key stakeholders across the organization and proactively build strong relationships with them. Understand their perspectives, priorities, and concerns. Effectively communicate the value proposition of the AI-powered products and demonstrate how they align with stakeholder goals. Actively seek input and feedback from stakeholders to ensure their buy-in and support. This includes building consensus and managing expectations.
- Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence:
- Stay up to date on the latest trends and advancements in AI and its applications in the Telco industry.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field
- Experience:
- 15+ years of experience of which 3-5 years of experience in product management or product ownership, preferably with experience in AI/ML projects. Experience in the Telco industry is a significant advantage.
- Strong understanding of the Telco landscape, including network technologies, customer service, and business operations.
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and terminology.
- Proven ability to define and execute product strategies and roadmaps.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Certification in product management (SAFe POPM, PMC, PLC) is a plus.
- Language Skills:
- Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
- Knowledge of French is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership skills and stakeholder management.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Proactive and results oriented.
