We are now looking for a
Sales Engineer, Eastern Europe and Central Asia
to join our team. The position is permanent and the preferred location for the position is in Hattem, The Netherlands.
What you will be doing
As a Sales Engineer at Quanti Parts (a Wärtsilä company), your primary goal is to process and coordinate all customer order requests related to spare parts and technical support on their classic engines. You’ll be responsible for preparing and handling spare parts quotations and orders in our ERP system and actively managing logistics and transport for Maritime and Energy customers.This role is regionally assigned to Eastern Europe and Central Asia, specifically covering Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Romania, Turkmenistan, and Ukraine. You will work closely with your own group of customers and prospects, constantly seeking ways to improve customer satisfaction and streamline service.
In this dynamic position, you’ll engage regularly with customers, network companies, distributors, and several Quanti Parts and Wärtsilä colleagues to track business and opportunities. You will be part of a team of Sales Engineers and Sales Support Specialists at our Hattem office.
As Sales Engineer, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Being able to actively sell spare parts and (field)service projects directly to our customers, network companies or distributors.
- Translating the customer’s questions into technical specifications and correct products.
- Active following-up on customer requests and communicating with internal and external stakeholders about spare parts orders, quotations, back orders and claims.
- Preparing customer visits and coordinating inspections of shipments and equipment.
- Ensuring correctness of installed base with our customers and network.
- Being prepared for additional technical and sales product trainings
- Being aware of the overall profitability and the sales margin in your orders.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
- Minimum vocational degree combined with a few years of working experience within a technical services organisation.
- Customer minded and service-oriented attitude with Can-Do mentality.
- Fluency in English, due to our international network; any second foreign language is definitely an advantage.
- You have excellent teamwork skills with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Experience with ERP (SAP) and CRM Software preferably.
- Due to our activities in the Marine and Energy industries it is seen as a big advantage if you have interests in engines or other rotating equipment.
In this role, some travel is required.
