Working as a Senior IT Auditor (Manager I) Ahold Delhaize Group
In your role as Senior IT Auditor (Manager I) Ahold Delhaize Group you will have a unique opportunity to see and understand many different areas of our company. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team with different backgrounds (audit and non-audit) and have the opportunity to not only be a member and take leadership roles in complex IT audits, but also be involved in operational audits.These audits can cover the entire spectrum of our organization from Cyber Security to Mechanized warehouses and from HR systems to consumer facing applications. Our common purpose is engaging in meaningful change within the organization. The success of our operations depends on our custom IT systems and your role will focus on auditing these systems.
Together with the team you are responsible for analyzing and assessing risk management within a business unit. Subsequently, you the observations with management to define next steps together. Every audit is unique, as you will work on different topics within different European brands and changing global audit teams.
In addition to your role on audits, you will be responsible to coordinate activities within the global audit team that trains and coaches audit staff. The Senior IT Auditor (Manager I) is also responsible to proactively build, maintain and develop internal relations at management level and with external parties at brand level to identify risks.

The company
Unlike many other companies, Internal Audit at Ahold Delhaize is future-oriented and has a strong focus on strategy. Within several business processes (such as marketing, commerce, logistics, real estate, supply chain, IT) you will investigate if the operational processes support the strategic objectives.Also, you will provide assurance over digital, data and technology related initiatives and projects at Ahold Delhaize to further improve our customer journey and proposition. You audit from a business perspective and act as a trusted advisor for your stakeholders, while remaining objective in your assessment of the control framework.
Based on your observations, you provide tailor-made recommendations for improvement.
A highly motivated candidate who has retail experience, strong analytical skills and is a role model by heart. You’re pragmatic and know how to get things done. You fully understand and consider the business needs to provide meaningful recommendations.You will work independently, and end results are being reviewed by Internal Audit management. You will be responsible to gives work instructions to and plans work for others.
You meet the following requirements. You have:
- A master’s degree in computer science, information systems or information science or a postmaster IT audit degree (RE)
- A CISSP, OSCP/CPENT certification or Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Certification (AZ-500) is an advantage
- A minimum of 5 to 8 years of IT audit and/or IT consulting experience in a retail or manufacturing environment, preferably at a big four company or large consulting company
- The ability to communicate fluent in English (and preferably one of the following: French, Dutch, Greek, Serbian, Czech or Romanian) and the willingness to travel, including international travel (up to 20% of the time)
