WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
As a Data Privacy Specialist you will:
Provide data protection support to different products and services of the entity, reporting to the Data Protection Officer. For them, it is necessary to have knowledge of data protection in financial services and financing products: auto loans, credit cards, durables loans, etc.
We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:
- Provide practical guidance and advice internally on Data Protection matters while working as part of al data privacy team under the guidance of SCF´s Data Protection Officer.
- Participate in all processes that deal with the processing of personal data and providing relevant consultations,
- Advise and support business functions on data protection issues arising day-to-day.
- Ensure compliance to international, national, state, and local privacy laws and regulations,
- Perform DPIAs, PIAs and LIA assessments and build/maintain the client’s Ro PA
- Analyze risk associated with data processing operations and monitoring compliance with GDPR and other personal data legal requirements;
- Maintain processes for receiving, documenting, tracking, investigating, and acting on all requests/complaints concerning the organization’s privacy policies and procedures.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 10 years of relevant legal/ compliance experience, including at a law firm or prior in-house experience, including expertise in Local and European data protection laws and practices including an in-depth understanding of the GDPR.
EDUCATION- Law graduate with expert knowledge of data protection law and practices.
- Completing a master's degree in technology and / or data protection (desirable)
- Taking courses or interests in data protection / T&O.
- Languages: Advanced English (C1) and another language (French or Dutch).
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of information technologies and data security
- Ability to work and communicate collaboratively/cross functionally with multiple teams located in different geographies.
- Excellent analytical, reading/comprehension, writing skills and strong attention to detail.
