🥜 In a nutshell
At Picnic, we're always looking to create the best shopping experience for our customers, by making it as easy as possible to find the right products, while also inspiring them to try something new. At the design level, there is the continuous challenge of the small design space, as everything must fit in a small screen.The Store team is responsible for doing just that: improving the shopping experience, telling Picnic's story and showing the right campaigns at the right time, to make sure customers stick.
As a Visual Designer, you'll join a team of Designers, Store Managers, Promo Coordinators and Copywriters. Together, we shape Picnic’s campaigns that play a vital role in showcasing our assortment and driving conversion. The deliverables include all visuals for a promo campaign in-app, from the start of a communication initiative until go-live.You think along with the design briefs, develop campaign visuals and help shaping Picnic’s visual identity. Each project, we aim to learn more about our customers and the commercial success of our campaigns.
🎯 What you’ll do
Your goal is to design the most engaging store campaigns, as well as promo elements in our app that directly speak to our customers.- Create and update promotion campaigns in our app
- Create and update product presentations and campaign visuals in our app
- Help prepare for campaign photoshoots and join shoots on-site
- Work and learn from experienced designers, photographers and business stakeholders internationally (Netherlands, Germany & France)
- Research retail trends and conduct competitor reviews to keep the team up to date
- Collaborate with the UX/UI team to create the best experience for our customers
- 2-4 years of working experience in visual design, preferably in a commercial and/or app environment
- Solid online portfolio showing a keen eye for detail paired with lots of creative flair
- Competent with Photoshop, Illustrator and Figma
- Self-starter with a “roll up your sleeves” attitude
- Experience with photoshoots and photography editing
- English skills on point
