Description
At Prime Vision, we develop an autonomous sorting system that consists of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs). These AMRs pick up parcels at a fixed place and then sort them into different bins or directions. The mechatronics team designs and evaluates the hardware and embedded systems and collaborates with multiple software teams to create our system.The team has transitioned over the years by maturing the product and producing at a growing scale. As a QA engineer you will support the team in this process.
As a QA engineer/Verification engineer in this team, you will play an essential role by continuously improving our quality processes and tests. You will be part of the QA guild where knowledge is shared, and the companywide quality assurance approach is discussed and implemented.
Your job
You guard the quality of the hardware that we deliver to our customers, by helping to improve the development process, designing, and performing tests, double-checking the correctness and completeness of documentation. Furthermore, you critically observe the way your team is functioning and suggest process improvements for structural problems you might find.You immerse yourself in the software and hardware that is developed in the neighboring teams to understand the full extent of operations. You will work with a network of PCB’s, Motors, Sensors, and Servers that constantly communicate with each other.
Your responsibilities are:
- Designing and executing tests.
- Monitoring and communicating with production partners.
- Help improve the team’s development process from the QA perspective and as an active team member.
- Reviewing documentation.
- Perform tests encapsulating the entirety of our Autonomous Sorting System.
- Verifying that the design operates as intended in normal and corner cases.
- Communicate test results and challenges to relevant stakeholders.
- Improving the team’s workflow.

- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a hardware QA engineer or similar profession.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- TMap or ISTQB knowledge, (certificate is a plus).
- Knowledge of verification techniques.
- Understanding of PCB’s, Motors, Sensors, and Servers.
- Strong communication skills across stakeholders.
- Flexible and cooperative mindset.
- Proficient in English.
Nice to have qualifications:
- Proficiency in the Dutch language is a plus.
