(Software) Security Engineer / Specialist (medior)

We are looking for IT / OT security engineer who is also knowledgeable in software development to be able to help with the design of secure applications and evaluating and implementing security tooling into the the CI/CD chain.

Your job

Your role is crucial for the integrity of our software solutions. You will be part of our Security team and will help to define the standards for secure software development by evaluating tools and best-practices and assisting Prime Vision’s development teams with the implementation of Prime Vision’s security roadmap.

You will publish guidelines and share best practices among the development teams and conduct and review vulnerability scanning results to check the security compliance status and ensure the quality of our products. Part of your work will be internal, but you’ll also be involved in customer implementations and pen-tests conducted for your customers.

This role has a strong technical focus and requires a can-do mentality.

Your day-to-day tasks:

• Support in the design, development and documentation of our cyber security architecture and communicate with customers and management;
• Participate in the architecture of our products and appropriate technology use and built-in security measures;
• Stay updated on industry security standards and ensure product compliance with relevant regulations;
• Execute security testing of our internal IT and product suite to identify and address vulnerabilities and security compliance or quality issues;
• Generate regular reports on quality metrics and security assessment findings;
• Work closely with software developers, quality assurance and (software) development lifecycle;
• Provide guidance and training to development teams on quality and security best practices.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in security studies, computer science, software engineering, or a related field;
• Experience in cybersecurity, (secure) software development and an interest in creating solutions and safeguarding quality & compliance;
• Understanding of source code programming languages;
• Experience with security risk analyses and prioritizing solutions for known vulnerabilities;
• Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO 27001, OWASP, NIST and secure coding practices;
• Practical, critical thinking and knowledge of tools for supporting the processes;
• Eagerness to continuously stay up to date on the latest technology and cybersecurity trends;
• Ambassador of Secure-by-Design to ensure security is built into all our solutions;
• You are a clear communicator: effective verbal and written communication skills that enhance team collaboration.
