Hotel compliance coordinator
Description
As part of the central services team, you will support the Hotel Operations team to achieve compliance in the domains of Risk Management & Operational Compliance. This will include researching, proposing and implementing the best practices aimed at creating a safe environment for our employees and guests - while achieving internal & legal compliance requirements.
In your internship, you will be responsible to support the Operational Risk & Compliance manager in managing a key process of our operations ‘Operating Permits’ at a global level. Additionally, you will support the team in implementing our global operational risk and compliance framework.The ultimate objective of your role is to support the resilience of our hotel operations and improve the satisfaction of our guests and employees in the compliance domains.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and result-driven intern who will have the opportunity to explore the day-to-day operational risk and compliance functions, participate in a variety of work streams, and make a true contribution. Working directly with the Operational Risk & Compliance Manager, you will be exposed to multiple functions within the Support Office of citizen M, e.g. Operations, Legal, HR, Facility Management and Food & Beverage.
Key Responsibilities- Research and identify applicable regulations and best practices in the domain of Health & Safety
- Maintain documentation and records using our software to be able to demonstrate the hotels’ compliance with laws and regulations
- Track and audit the hotels’ compliance with the policies and procedures of citizen M
- Audit the operating permits and support the area managers in maintaining valid permits
- Organize and publish Safety & Security awareness communications regularly
- Prepare reports, analyses, and statistics to update senior management on the hotel's safety and security performance
- Available for six or more months, start date January/February 2025
- A student enrolled at a university or HBO studies during the entire duration of the internship
