Job Description

To start with, the position of Internal Communication Manager sits comfortably in the Communications Department. An incredibly diverse team that helps each other learn, grow and develop. As a Internal Communication Manager sits you will be asked to support the development and lead the execution of comprehensive internal communication strategies that align with the companies mission, vision and values.
For this, we don’t just need you to be a knowledgeable professional but also strongly rely on your interpersonal skills as well as your drive for success. Know that you’ll have a crucial role in creating and protecting the impact we look for in our value chain. With this said, we like you to take responsibility over the following tasks:

Strategy Development and Execution:

  • Support the development of, and execute, a robust internal communications strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Collaborate with relevant functions to ensure messaging consistency and alignment with the company's strategic direction.
  • Lead the creation and dissemination of key messages and communications materials, and cascade relevant corporate communications to the regions.

Content Creation, Management and Dissemination:

  • Oversee the development of engaging and informative content for various internal communication channels and portals.
  • Play a leading role in socializing company strategy;
  • Lead and manage internal corporate communications involving IHQ;
  • Manage internal corporate communications involving Ex Co and other senior management, ensuring timely and relevant content delivery.
  • Write, edit, and proofread corporate communications to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with the company's tone and style.

Associate Engagement and Culture; Corporate Identity:

  • Partner with HR to design and implement initiatives to enhance associate engagement, drive passion for Coffee and Tea, and foster a positive organizational culture.
  • Organize and manage internal events, town halls, CEO/Ex Co Coffee Talks and other associate engagement activities.
  • Collect and analyse feedback from associates to continuously improve communication strategies.
  • Create and disseminate communications around corporate identity;

Change Management:

  • Lead internal communications efforts during organizational changes.
  • Develop and execute communication plans to support change management initiatives, ensuring employees are informed, engaged, and supported.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Work closely with HR, Marketing, and other departments to ensure cohesive and effective communication.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders on internal communication matters.

Measurement and Improvement:

  • Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of internal communications initiatives.
  • Analyse communication outcomes and provide regular reports to senior leadership.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve internal communications processes and tools.

Qualifications

We are looking for a Internal Communication Manager with a drive for excellence. Someone that holds themselves accountable and doesn’t shy away from responsibility. Given the nature of the role we feel it's important for you to have a certain level of Experience with Internal Communication within a global fast paced environment as well as a solid understanding of your own added value.

We thrive in diverse teams and look for people that appreciate that as much as we do. We can give you a list of “must haves,” however that’s not how we view your candidacy.

We do, of course, take into consideration how much experience you have with Internal Communication, corporate idenity and strategy but ultimately, we look at the bigger picture. But to give you a bit of guidance as to what we feel is needed in this role, we’ll share our “nice to have” list with you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or related roles.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful internal communications strategies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with digital communication channels and social media.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in using internal communications platforms and tools.
  • High level of emotional intelligence, interpersonal skills, and cultural sensitivity.
