ESG Internship (8 months)
We are looking for driven and enthusiastic interns to join our team. Your main responsibilities will be to support the Member Success team throughout the GRESB reporting cycle, focusing on customer support, understanding how the GRESB Standards apply to real estate and infrastructure managers and providing advice and insights to GRESB’s member base.
The Members Success team's mission is to ensure that GRESB members achieve their desired outcomes and remain satisfied with the GRESB's products and services. You will actively collaborate with other teams in GRESB, including Sales, Marketing, Product, and Technology.
GRESB’s internship program offers interns the change to gain exposure to a range of aspects of GRESB’s work and to obtain experience at a growing organization that is at the forefront of ESG in private equity.
The ideal candidate will be available to work 40 hours per week from March 1 through October 31 in Amsterdam. Note there is some slight flexibility in the start/end date for the right candidates.
Only applicants who are already based in the Netherlands will be considered. We cannot support visa applications for applicants from outside the EU.
Main Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyse company ESG data that form part of GRESB’s datasets
- Help GRESB members with any queries on the GRESB Standards and reporting process
- Assist GRESB members throughout the GRESB reporting cycle
- Collaborate with other teams to provide data analysis and research on an ad hoc basis
- Review environmental, social, and governance (ESG) data for analysis and benchmarking
- Gain familiarity with GRESB and other international sustainability rating systems/assessments (LEED, WELL, BREEAM, GRI, ISO, etc.)
- Work diligently in a fast-paced environment
- Manage time across various tasks to meet deadlines
- Work collaboratively with other interns and employees, as well as independently

Requirements- An academic background in a relevant field, such as real estate, infrastructure, business, economics, finance, geography, environmental science or sustainability
- An effective communicator- able to work with the GRESB team to evaluate project data against broad ESG benchmarks, scorecards, and best practices
- A client-focused mindset with a desire to provide the best possible outcomes for GRESB Members
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong at problem-solving, decision-making, time management, organization, and written and verbal communication skills
- Team-focused, demonstrates initiative, and has a positive, helpful attitude
- A quick learner, adaptive, and eager to tackle new situations
- Has a passion for sustainability and the underlying engineering, business, and policy impacts, roles, criteria, and technology
- Willing to jump in on any task that helps the team meet its objectives
- Fluency in English is mandatory - other language skills are a plus
- Must possess the right to work in the EU (non-EU applicants must already have a Dutch working permit)
- Competitive allowance of 1.200 EUR monthly
