Job Description: As a Business Development Manager D&E within our Global Business Development team at NTS Eindhoven, you will develop and maintain the reputation of NTS as a first tier contract manufacturer in the Semicon and Analytical markets towards all relevant stakeholders (Customers/OEMs, key technology providers and possible other key players in the industry eco-system).In addition the Manager Business Development D&E develops and maintains relevant relations with these stakeholders with the aim to generate attractive high potential business leads (D&E with volume production opportunity) and transforming these into business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creates and maintains a clear view on market developments (including applications, products, competitors) in terms of business opportunities and technology..
- Is responsible for the value proposition description and deployment towards customers.
- Is responsible for communicating the NTS propositions and competencies to the customer at all relevant functions and levels in the customer organization, including executive/senior technical DMUs. Involves the right colleagues at the right time in that communication. The aim is to obtain alignment between customer needs and the NTS proposition and technology roadmap.
- Has access to, develops and maintains a good working relation with all executive/senior technical DMUs at the customers and has a good understanding as to what their decision criteria are.
- Develops and maintains relevant relations with market stakeholders, including customers, and generates attractive business leads with a high chance of success.
- Maintains CRM with the necessary information about those leads and creates first drafts of the Decision to Bid, including a thorough business case analysis both from the customer perspective and the NTS perspective.
- Hands over the leads to account management once there is a strong indication of an upcoming request for information / quotation or when a first P.O. has been received. This includes providing essential business case input, strategic and tactical advice to develop the opportunity and support in negotiating a possible deal.
- Translates the value proposition into relevant local market communication tools in conjunction with the global marcom team.
- Organizes and participates in conferences, trade shows and workshops. Presents the NTS proposition at those events with relevant in depth technical and commercial information.
- Job Requirements:
- Technical background is a must. Academic level, MBA or similar experience is preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience at a mechatronics OEM or First Tier supplier, both in development and commercial
- Commercial savvy and experience: listening, convincing, negotiating.
- Natural drive to develop new business relationships.
- Combines strategic insight with result driven pragmatism.
- Strong, proven track record in commercial and financial management (account planning, business cases, accounting).
- Natural leader with high personal effectiveness to deal with complex situations and conflicts.
- Communicates effectively at different levels (C-level but also lower levels)
