As an experienced Business Development Manager, you are the one who can persuade challenging clients to choose our Supply Chain Solutions.
Your Responsibilities
As a Business Development Manager (BDM), you will be responsible for developing and maintaining constructive relationships with target accounts. You will focus on multiple sectors, creating and following up on opportunities in Technology, Life Science & Healthcare, Auto-Mobility, Engineering & Manufacturing, Retail, and more.You will establish the right contacts and build your network, ensuring that you engage with key decision-makers.
Your primary focus will be on securing new, unique engagements in the Benelux market. A Business Development Manager is adept at recognizing new opportunities and immediately capitalizing on them. Additionally, you are able to create an open atmosphere where you can advise your contacts on how DHL Supply Chain’s solutions can help them achieve their goals.To convince potential clients, you will develop, present, and arrange the right logistics solutions. You will also participate in negotiations and ensure that deals are successfully closed.
You will actively seize opportunities, which means that you will:
- Draft proposals
- Create winning plans
- Coordinate and maintain contact with all relevant departments and experts
- Monitor the entire process from start to finish (both internally and externally)
- As a Business Development Manager, you are the entrepreneur who will drive profitable growth for our organization
- A competitive salary depending on your knowledge and experience, ranging from €5.249 to €8.249.

Our team of innovative and creative Business Development Managers consists of 8 BDMs and reports to the VP of Business Development. While you work independently, you will always collaborate with your fellow BDMs when necessary.
This is You!We are looking for a new colleague who can work independently and possesses strong commercial and communication skills. Your project management skills are excellent. You know how to translate business concepts into products and services and present them internally and externally.
You are an experienced Business Development Manager who is persuasive, result-oriented, and flexible. Taking initiative comes naturally to you. You are an experienced networker with a natural interest in Supply Chain processes. You have conceptual and strategic skills, and you are analytical, creative, and team-focused.
Additionally:
- You have a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree and 5 years of experience in a supply chain environment in a commercial/engineering role
- You have experience in a Supply Chain, logistics, or consultancy environment
- You have knowledge of the national and international Supply Chain/3PL market, as well as experience in the Benelux market
- You possess strong entrepreneurial skills, passion, and a results-driven attitude
- Your English communication skills are excellent in both written and spoken form. Knowledge of Dutch and French is a plus
