Functie
Our client is seeking a highly motivated, hands-on HR Manager with a proven track record to join their dynamic and growing team. The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing a variety of human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits administration, and compliance with labour laws.The HR Manager also plays a critical role in shaping, maintaining, and evolving the culture and values of the company and driving engagement and retention. The role will require excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a passion for supporting employees and the company's goals.
The HR team, for now, consists of just the Manager who will support the growth of company.
The position reports to the Chief Financial and Operating Officer.
Key Responsibilities

Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and hiring. This includes looking for value alignment that enhances the company's culture. Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all necessary paperwork, training, and orientations are completed. Ensure new hires are introduced to the company's culture and values and help them integrate. Maintain and update employee records, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding company policies, benefits, and other HR-related matters.
- Address employee concerns or conflicts and work to resolve issues in a fair and consistent manner.
- Assist in organising company events, recognition programs, and initiatives that foster positive employee relations.
Culture and Values:
- Communicating the company's culture and values to all employees, helping ensure employees understand what is expected of them and how they contribute to the larger company.
Performance Management:
- Support managers and employees in the performance review process, including goal setting, values, feedback, and performance appraisals.
- Help implement employee development programs, including training sessions and career progression plans.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Administer compensation and benefits programs, including payroll support.
- Monitor compensation practices to ensure competitiveness.
- Provide information to employees about benefits and assist with questions.
Compliance and Recordkeeping:
- Ensure compliance with Dutch and local employment laws and regulations.
- Assist in preparing and filing various HR reports, including those related to employee statistics, performance, and audits.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR databases and records.
HR Projects and Initiatives:
- Participate and lead in HR-related projects such as employee engagement surveys, and policy updates.
- Assist in organisational development activities, including succession planning and people development.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience);
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources, with a solid understanding of HR practices, employment law, and compliance;
- Experience in recruitment, employee relations, or benefits administration is a plus. Experience in culture and values implementation and management. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization;
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities;
- High level of organisational skills and attention to detail;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and HR software products;
- Knowledge of Dutch labour laws and HR best practices;
- Fluent in Dutch and a high level of proficiency in English.
